Jian Zhou
Dr. Jian Zhou joined the State University of New York at Binghamton as an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering department in Fall 2023. He conducted postdoctoral research at Argonne National Laboratory and received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Binghamton University. His research interests include dynamic nanosystems, nanomechanics and multi-scale nanoengineered materials, and precision sensing, control, and imaging tools. His thesis work pioneered the bio-inspired flow microphone, which has been commercialized by Soundskrit. His research has been highlighted by reputed journals and news media, such as PNAS, Nature Physics, Scientific American, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and BBC.

Wei obtained his Master's degree from Tongji University before joining the group in Fall 2023. His current research focuses on nanoengineered acoustic neuroprosthesis for hearing restoration.
Xiangyu Wei

Xiangyu earned his Bachelor's degree from Tongji University and joined the group in Spring 2024. His is now focusing his research on Nano-Opto-Electro-Mechanical Systems (NOEMS) for adaptive sensing.
Wanyin Zheng

Wanyin received her bachelor's degree from Shenzhen Technology University and joined the group in Fall 2024. She is currently exploring bioinspired acoustic flow sensors for reliable hearing tests.
Coby Gottlieb

Coby received his bachelor's degree from SUNY Binghamton and has been working on non-Hookean nanomechanics and metamaterials since joining the group in Fall 2024.
